Happy pi day in USA.
The Raspberry Pi Foundation has released a new pi on pi day (USA 3/14/2018). It has been two years since their last release, a Raspberry Pi 3 B.

* It's CPU runs at 1.4GHz vs the old one at 1.2GHz. Broadcom BCM2837B0, Cortex-A53 (ARMv8) 64-bit SoC @ 1.4GHz
* 1 GB LPDDR2 SDRAM
* The built-in wifi is improved at 2.4GHz and 5GHz. IEEE 802.11.b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, BLE
* Gigabit Ethernet over USB 2.0 (maximum throughput 300 Mbps)
Other specs are about the same.
The input power requirements are 5 Volts at 2.5 Amps DC. It uses much more energy than previous pis.
There is now support for Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), but it requires separate PoE HAT
